Bourne Free 2026 is set to be a three-day celebration of love, diversity, and community in Bournemouth. Taking place from Friday, July 10th, to Sunday, July 12th 2026, the festival will be held at Meyrick Park (BH2 6LJ) under the theme "Iconic" .

Lighthouse launches Big Christmas Appeal

Lighthouse is launching this year’s Big Christmas Appeal to raise money that enables it to give the gift of theatre, music and cinema to those who ordinarily will miss out.

A researcher at the University of Exeter is collecting personal stories from men in the LGBTQ+ community who lived in Dorset, Somerset, Devon or Cornwall between 1967 and 1987. The project, “The Only Gay in the Village? Love and Sex Between Men in Southwest England,” aims to preserve memories of relationships, community life, discrimination and activism during this key period.
