Lesflicks releases SUBMERGE, a romantic drama feature film

Lesflicks VOD continues its strong growth and further sets itself as the go-to platform for lesbian & bisexual film across the world with the release of SUBMERGE on 25 October 2020.

Jordan (Lily Hall), a 20 year old athletic university student has added another extracurricular activity to her over-scheduled life—seducing her tutor, Angie (Christina Hallett), while doing research work for Angie’s partner Cameron (Andrew Curry), who is also Jordan's professor. Bi best friend Lucas (Kevin Dee) teases her that she’s an over-achiever, but not even Jordan can keep all these balls in the air indefinitely.

SUBMERGE is an Australian feature film, first released in 2013, and subtitles are available in English, French and German.

Producer, Kat Holmes says, “I’ve been following the journey of Lesflicks since its inception in 2019 and I think it’s a wonderful new platform for lesbian and bisexual content.  It’s been 6 years since SUBMERGE was released globally and it is still attracting plenty of viewers on iTunes, Google Play etc.  I’m so thrilled to be adding Lesflicks to the platform mix, and I hope it will be joined by many other iconic lesbian films from the last 20 years.  I’m especially excited about being able to show SUBMERGE to German and French speaking audiences.  This will be the first time it has been commercially released in the francophone and germanic worlds.  SUBMERGE is a timeless story and one that is quite unique in the pantheon of lesbian cinema.  I hope you enjoy it as much as we did bringing it to the screen.”

Lesflicks founder, Naomi Bennett says:, “I’m really pleased to be adding SUBMERGE to the growing, quality catalogue of films available on Lesflicks VOD. When I launched Lesflicks in 2019 I knew there were many great films, and to be able to release so many great titles so soon after release is really exciting. SUBMERGE is a great film, and has some really interesting themes and topics that will really appeal to a broad audience. It offers a familiar setting but mixes in some darker, more challenging topics that will resonate with many on different levels. The fact that we have French and German subtitles available is also really pleasing as it helps us to ensure the film is accessible to non-English speaking audiences. Increasing subtitles is something I’m working hard on for accessibility in general.”

For those who prefer a physical DVD, these will be available to buy from the Lesflicks shop, also from 25 October 2020.

SUBMERGE will be available to rent, or as part of the subscription on Lesflicks VOD from Sunday 25 October.
