Bournemouth’s longest-running gay monthly night, Vice Versa, turns five

Back in February 2012, a new monthly night was launched on the Bournemouth gay scene, called Vice Versa. Run by the Xchange and headed up by Dave Hunt, the night immediately grabbed the attention of those clubbers who like their music ‘all things house’ – no cheese, no pop, no commercial – just current, fresh house music.

Right from the start, Vice Versa attracted a busy crowd and established itself as a quality night. With the Xchange’s later licence, it has become the place to be… well into the early hours of Sunday morning.

Over the years, DJs Luke Kitchiner and Charlie Sparx joined Dave Hunt to form the solid team of resident DJs. Alongside its residents, VV has enjoyed many national and international guest DJs, including Dan Kelly, Meow, Emma Hebdige, Lee Harris, Chris B, Nik Denton, Jo Public, Kevin Brooks, Sharon O’Love, Jim Dusty and HanSom. No other night has brought you such talent!

To celebrate the fifth birthday, Vice Versa will be joined by Paris’s famous DJ Rafa Nunes. Rafa has been DJing for over 15 years and plays at many parties across Europe, in France, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK – in particular, he has played for Funhouse (Amsterdam), La Démence and Revelation (Brussels).

The party is also going to include some great visual performances by Pantheatrix – something you don’t want to miss.

Make sure you are there on 11 February 2017 to celebrate their successful five years – and here’s to another five!
