Bourne Free: 8th - 10th July 2016

Bourne Free is Bournemouth's annual LGBT Pride celebration and it's back this coming weekend.

2016 has a Rio Carnival theme and everyone is invited to come along, dress up and get involved. Below is our quick guide to what's on and when.

The Parade

Saturday 9th July from 11am to 12pm
The parade starts on East Cliff, BH1 3AF and winds it ways through town and ends up at The Triangle. Westover Road and The Square are popular viewing places.

Bandstand Entertainment

Saturday 9th July from 12.30pm - 4.30pm
There is a host of great free entertainment and stalls at Bandstand in the Gardens. This year hosted by Lea Martin. Acts on stage include BBLOC, Beth May, Nicole McNally, Chris Shalders, Sam Callahan, Rachel-Ann, Nicolette Street and BFGT Runner Up

The Triangle

Friday 8th July from 5pm to 11pm
Free Family Fun Night - Entry to The Triangle Arena on Friday is FREE and open to all ages, bring your family down for the open air showing on the big screen and great entertainment on stage. This year our family fun night is in association with Julia’s House. The Big Screen is back and this year it's Rio 2.

Saturday 9th July from 12pm - 11pm
The main arena in The Triangle hosts hosts top acts including The Artful Dodger and Shola Ama, Rachael (The Voice), Sandra, DJ Kevin Brooks, Chris, Jason Prince, Kara Van Park, XST (Xchange), Novympia and the BFGT 2016 Winner. Wristbands are required for this section. 

Sunday 10th July from 12pm
The annual Bourne Free Celebration Worship. Every year since 2011 the Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) has held their weekly worship service outdoors at the Bourne Free stage in The Triangle on the Sunday of the festival weekend. The service is an energetic celebration offering something for everyone.
